I do not think tis is a bug i think it may be a dependancy or version issue

Hello,

This doesn't happen in normal conditions.
As said, it looks like a version compatibility issue.

Kindly have an updated version of gtk and gtk-client as well.
Thanks.

Hi guys we experienced the issue as well and can for us creating a entirely new Ubuntu User solved the problem. So for the moment the problem doesn't seem to be related to packages in the first place but rather to configuration of the GTK environment.

I've seen such crashes, too..

Do they, by any chance, relate to clicking a button on a Form of OpenERP? If
so, please tell us which form it is.

Hello All!!!
I had same problem on Gentoo.
I forced Gentoo to update gtk+-2.20 to gtk+-2.22, pygtk-2.17 to pygtk-2.22 and all related packages (12 hours compile and check all!!!).
Now, OpenERP GTK Client is running fine!!!
I don't invertigate this problem in deep, but, I think that It's a gtk and pygtk problem.
Thanks!!!

Hello All,
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and facing this same issue. Now no openerp clients are working. I checked the version 6.0.3 and latest 6.1.1 from trunk.

Hello Majabirk,

As per your comment#5 on lp:905738 your problem is solved and problem comes due to orca.

That's why I am closing this issue.

Thanks!

Thanks to Alan Bell at https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-client/+bug/905738/comments/4 for "if you go to system settings, universal access and turn off the screen reader there it will turn off desktop accessibility and the GTK client won't crash. Just stopping orca isn't sufficient, you have to run with at-spi turned off."

This fixed my problem.
