Bug Description
A number of support requests and threads exist for this Audio hardware, which Ubuntu 6.06 LTS does not seem to deal with at all. Most of the requests are people who cannot get any sound at all.
I did try to get them to engage the bug system and put in reports themselves, but they are not necessarily that technically inclined, and so after a few attempts at getting them to do so, I have done so myself.

It would seem to me that hardware compatibility and ease of setup is probably one our key gateway to user acceptance/takeup.
