strange thumb of copy dialog

Binary package hint: nautilus

I have experienced strange behavior of nautilus.

I had been coping something from smb share to my local disc and it appears that nautilus leave some thumb of copy dialog (printscreen aviable below).

Because of that i cannot open another nautilus instance.

I'm using ubuntu netbook remix 10.10 beta now.

Some update:

I can run nautilus from console, so it's a problem with launcher.

When I press right mouse button on this icon I get a menu with 4 items: "Show copy dialog", "File manager", "Keep in Launcher" and "Quit".

"Keep in Launcher" is selected and using "Quit" do nothing.

is that only reproducible with une? that looks like a window being minimized , could you tell us a few easy steps in order to reproduce it?

I haven't test Ubuntu Desktop so I don't know, if it's only Unity problem.

As I recall on my Ubuntu Destkop I have some problem with Nautilus when my router have hanged, then I have unmanaged copy dialog, but not minimalized. And then other windows of Nautilus works correctly.

It was not the first time, when this strange behaviour occurs, but I cannot tell how to reproduce this bug. I will pay attention next time this occurs.

the problem is simply reproduce able by copying and pasting something of a least size that the copy dialog appears.

after the copy is complete. right click on the nautilus tile in the launcer and select, 'show copy dialog'

removing the duplicate. The other bug was about not being able to open a new nautilus window because of this thumb. Now people can, which is better, but we still have the thumb.

So, letting the other fix released a keep this one for this specific issue.

I've updated my une and this bug is still appearing. Which is it's new milestone?...The importance should not be LOW...

the issue is fixed in Natty. Will it also be fixed in Ubuntu-10.10?

The development on the Ubuntu-10.10 code base has stopped so this bug wont be fixed. So I am closing it as invalid.
