Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Rhythmbox playing ogg audio & Firefox open. Went to close a gmail tab with middle click and it brought up the "you will lose changes" javascript dialog - audio crackled for a second. Happened again in Outlook webmail when it brought up the "force right click save attachment" javascript dialog. This also happens when playing audio in Totem.

Testing in the error console evaluating alert("hello world") also causes audio to crackle.

Ubuntu: 10.04.1 LTS
Rhythmbox: 0.12.8-0ubuntu7
Totem: 2.30.2-0ubuntu1
Firefox: 3.6.10+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1
GStreamer: 0.10.28

if that happens with others applications that's probably not a rhythmbox issue, sounds more like a pulseaudio kind of thing. the bug needs to be reassigned.
