Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

I have the following happening on two machines with 10.10:

Keyboard layout starts to switch randomly between configured layouts (US, RU default). I can see that by watching layout indicator.
Happens event inside 'screen locked' window, so I can't login back to system.
Layout swtich happens approx. 10 times per second, which renders keyboard completely useless.
The speed of switches raises by itself, so it looks like first switch triggers another, and another triggers next one, all at rising velocity.

X.Org 1:7.5+6

Please note you need any further info, package information, etc.

Also confirmed by two other Russian layout users. DIdn't hear that to happen with other keyboard layouts.

Workaround is to switch off 'Separate layouts for different windows' in keyboard properties. This cures the bug completely.

Same thing happened to me, but during normal desktop use (typing in a Google Chrome window) NOT the "screen locked" window.
