Bug Description

Hello,
There have been 2 reports of keyboard shortcuts not working when Comodo security products are installed, at InkscapeForum.com.
http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5888
It seems the Ctrl keystroke is ignored, so that Ctrl + Z (for example) opens the Zoom tool, rather than undo.

The first case was researched extensively by the reporter (Sammo), who unfortunately left out the operating system and Inkscape version. However, he did mention it was on Windows, and Comodo Internet Security Premium. I've posted a message asking for the info, and will edit in here, once I learn it. But please read thread for details (he even reinstalled Windows to troubleshoot).

The 2nd case is on Windows Vista and Inkscape 0.48, with Comodo 4.1 with Comodo firewall, and Defense+ enabled.

Another reply reports Win7 32bits, Inkscape 0.48.0 r9654, and Comodo 3.14 (only Firewall enabled), and shortcuts work *normally*.

Hi,

I've got a similar problem under Linux Mint 8 and Inkspace 0.47 (build 0.47pre4 r22446). Every time I hit CTRL-Z inkscape show me the closing dialog ("do you want to save your change berfore closing?"). If I have a child dialog open (align objects, colors, etc...) it just closes it. Since I have an AZERTY keyboard I noticed that hitting CTRL-W (which is CTRL-Z in QWERTY layout) actually undo my last action so I think there is a keyboard layout misinterpretation bug here.

FYI my keyboard shortcuts works well within other programs (i.e. gedit).

@Jonas - your comment (keyboard layout confusion QWERTY <-> AZERTY in Inkscape 0.47 on Linux Mint 8) does not relate to the reported conflict on Windows if Comodo products are installed ('Ctrl' modifier key press events no longer reaches Inkscape).

Closing as this is an issue with Comodo software and not Inkscape itself.

Can you speak a little bit about how you determined the bug is in Comodo products? This would help us to be able to give people who have this problem info about it.

Has this been reported to Comodo?
