Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of final release - Maverick Meerkart. You can find out more about testing at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing . Thanks, we appreciate your help.

thanks for the bug report. is the issue still happening with ubuntu-10.10 upto-date ? I believe the issue should be fixed with the updates.

Hi,

you're welcome, I really enjoy using Empathy so making it better is in
my own interest.

I just gave it a go using Emesene and Empathy (using two different msn
accounts). Everything seems to work ok. I was able to exchange messages
back and forth and the status is correctly represented. I do think would
be a good idea to test it using MSN on windows and Empathy on the other
side. "Unfortunately" I am running low on windows machines at both home
and my contacts.

Let me know if you want me to do some more "testing", plenty of windows
at work *sigh*.

since you are not able to reproduce the issue we can assume this bug might have got fixed to many updates to the telepathy stack in the past, thats why I am closing this bug as invalid but feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
