Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-10-generic

I upgrade from Dapper to Edgy.
When i try to suspend my screen became black and led is blinking but laptop doesn't suspend.
On Dapper everything works with kernel linux-image-2.6.15-27-686.

My hardware:
IBM R60 Core Duo, 1 gb RAM, ATI X1400 with fglrx (from restricted modules)

This could be a duplicate of 62196, examine the discussion there and see of the workaround steps regarding e1000 work for you.

Nop. I don't use e1000.

My network card work on tg3 module.

After examining the problem I notice that this is acpi problem not kernel.
When screen became black I can switch back to X.

So i think there is a problem with acpi-support hibernate script.

On upgraded edgy i can still observe this behavior.
Sometimes laptop won't suspend nor hibernate.
