Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

According to the log file:

Setting up winbind (2:3.4.7~dfsg-1ubuntu3.2) ...

 * Starting the Winbind daemon winbind 
[fail]

invoke-rc.d: initscript winbind, action "start" failed.

dpkg: error processing winbind (--configure):

 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Could attach the winding log files from /var/log/samba/ to figure out why winbindd fails to start?
