Ubuntu does not start after upgrade

Please my computer cannot connect to the internet i'am currently using my friends computer...and i've got a problem with updating my computer ubuntu does not load after i updated...and please make the arial font available

'cannot connect to internet' problem: Which connection type are you using? (Modem/ISDN/DSL/...), which provider, any other helpful details?

'Ubuntu does not start after update' -> which Ubuntu version do you use? What did you update? Are there any error messages during boot? (Feel free to use a digital camera to do a screen shot and attach the picture here).

'Arial font' -> Install the 'msttcorefonts' package from multiverse.
