Bug Description

I currently have a 2 partition setup where my /home is on one partition and my root / is on another.

Recently, I have noticed that the file gwibber_messages.couch.compact has been using up quite a bit of my (somewhat limited) /home partition. At the time of filing this bug report, the current file size is well over 5GB.

I would believe that there is (or should be) a built in mechanism to trim this file size down, but for some reason- it is not happening.

My system config settings are as follows:
Maverick x64, most recent updates
Gwibber 2.31.95

Is it safe to delete this message cache and have the application rebuild it from scratch?
