dock location makes it hard to read and write text

The new dock/launcher (which is beautiful and very easy to use) is placed on the left side of the screen. When reading and writing text in Englis and many other languages, lines begin on the left, and it is common to quickly scan to the beginning of the line. Finding a bunch of colourful icons there is quite distracting. After giving myself a few days to try and get used to it, I just don't feel that I can work like this. Instead I think that placing the dock on the right side of the screen instead would be much better. An alternative to changing the location for all users would be providing a way to customize the location.

Tom, I agree with your concern, but rather than making the launcher
optionally right-aligned we're going to add the ability to hide it by
default, revealing it magically when needed.
