kabikaboo no longer opens -- regression

Binary package hint: kabikaboo

kabikaboo used to open and run pretty much flawlessly and now does not open.
I have tried uninstallling and re-installing the program.
My system is pretty much generic Maverick Studio
I think the package needs to be updated to conform to changes in python, but that's just a wild guess on my part.

When Itry to get the version number it gives me this as the most recent call.

Try modifying or deleting the file:
~/.kabikaboo/settings.txt

This is probably due to the "last open" file being deleted/moved.
I've marked this as a duplicate for now, unless evidence is submitted to prove it's a new bug...

We really need to release a patch for this (1.7.1)
