Bug Description

Binary package hint: f-spot

When I download photos from my camera (by copying them to a subdirectory of my Photos directory) and tell f-spot to "import" them, it only lists fro import those pictures that were taken in "landscape" orientation - those that have internal EXIF tags saying they're portrait are not detected as available for import.

This is f-spot 0.1.11.

Are you using Dapper or Edgy ?- If you are using Edgy 0.2.1 is now available.

I am using dapper, as stock an installation as I can manage. I'll upgrade to edgy when it's released, though.

I'll attach a particular photo that doesn't get detected; camera info and whatnot should all be in the EXIF tags.

Thanks, EXIF rotation properties are preserved on import with f-spot 0.2.1.

The problem is not that they are imported with the wrong orientation, the problem is that they are not imported at all...

You'll be glad to know that they should import properly now - there were a number of bugs related to this which were fixed.
