Package Manager freezes while "Entpacke Ersatz für libwbclient0"

The last thing my packet manager tells me is:

After this, it freezes. On 3 different machines with (X)Ubuntu 10.4.
And 2 of 3 virtual machines I testet so far.

Thank you for opening this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. I am sorry, but there is not enough data to work on this bug. Please provide:

1. your /var/log/apt/term.log showing the issue;
2. after a few seconds, run a ps -aux | grep root so that we can see what is running.
