I just experienced this same crash with pptp-linux-1.7.2-6 in Ubuntu 11.04. Should I open a separate bug report about that?

I am experiencing this bug in 12.04 Precise Beta1; the crash occurs right after I log in, but not when I start a pptp VPN connection (which works without a hitch).

I now have the exact same situation as vikingurinn. I didn't have this with earlier versions (pre beta) of precise.
