Mouse cursor disappears after suspend

The mouse cursor disappears after every suspend, in both xfce and gnome.

The mouse still functions, but it's invisible.

It appears again after logout/login. (Not restarting xorg).

I have the same problem on my Dell Inspiron 510m Notebook with the current edgy kubuntu version. This bug also occurs when restarting from hibernate mode.

I also have the same problem my mouse pointer disappears when I come back from hibernation.

Mouse pointer also disappears when I come back from terminal mode.

The only way I can track the location of the invisible mouse pointer is enable the "Locate mouse pointer" feature on "System/Preference/Mouse" and I just keep pressing the CTRL button

Or just reboot my system to bring back the mouse pointer.

My System:
DELL D505 with USB mouse (2 button with scroll)
Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy

I manage to solve this mouse pointer problem by increasing the video memory on the BIOS settings of my laptop from 1MB to 8MB.

Now the mouse pointer does NOT disappear when I:
- come back from console.
- come back from suspend & hibernation

I found that if I suspend from the login screen, then un-suspend, the cursor disappears, but then suspending from within my login and un-suspending the cursor comes back. No big deal really.
