Bug Description

Please open http://www.singenundspielen.de/id221.htm with Konqueror. On top of the center of that page you find the word 'Koenigskinder' (with german umlaut ö). Mark this word and press CTRL-C.

Open a new writer document.
Pasting the word by using the middle mouse button works perfect.
Pasting the word by using CTRL-V does not work.

Marking this as fix released as it is working fine for me right now in both KDE 3 and KDE 4 on Hardy and Gutsy. I do remember a similar issue I had when copying and pasting the umlaut in the past, but it is working right now. If you feel this is still an issue, I urge you to reopen this report with any further information you may have. Thanks!

Meanwhile i am switched to ubuntu 7.10, but i am still able to reproduce the same behaviour.

This is how it looks in Ooo-Writer after doing the above steps:

Königskinder
Königskinder

Using Firefox on the same system works perfect.

Output of "locale":
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8"

This is my locale output. I also notice that when I paste it, it is pasting in the same format that is on the website, ie. blue, bold, and underlined. Does this happen for you as well?

Are there any other settings you have in OO.o that I may not have so I can try and reproduce this? At this time I am still unable to reproduce it. Thanks!

more information: i created a new user on my system to be sure that there are no special settings for neither kde nor openoffice. After login i didn't change any setting, but the bug was still there...

Then i installed a fresh instance of Kubuntu7.10 in a VirtualBox. (Again i used a german system: i selected the appropriate option In the boot menu of the CD). After installation finished -> reboot -> login -> bug still there...

Can you reproduce this?

For what it's worth, it works for me in Hardy and Intrepid. It would be nice if you could test with a later version of Ubuntu too to see if you can still reproduce it too.
