index files failed to download during update

This bug pertains to LMDE. When I run the update program (or I refresh the update list) I receive an error stating that some index files failed to download.

Here is the error message I receive:

W: Failed to fetch http://packages.linuxmint.com/dists/debian/Release.gpg Could not resolve 'packages.linuxmint.com'

W: Failed to fetch http://packages.linuxmint.com/dists/debian/import/i18n/Translation-en.bz2 Could not resolve 'packages.linuxmint.com'

Hi, thank you for reporting this issue!

Can you please confirm whether you still recieve this error?
Run "apt-get update" from a terminal while connected to
the internet.
