package frei0r-plugins (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: error writing to '<standard output>': No such file or directory

I've never seen the "exploding exclamation point" until today while installing a driver for my hp printer. And this crash notification came about when i opened my browser (Chromium). But the browser worked just fine.
