Title: package samba 2:3.5.4~
affects: | samba (Ubuntu) → dpkg (Ubuntu) |
I see something like this as well in my Maverick install. Samba installation just stops during the post install.
Looks to me like the set up part of the post install happens correctly and somewhere in the restarting samba and exiting the post install script phase it fails.
Installing from the command line I was able to hit the 'Ctrl'+'C' at the point where it just stops during the post install and it proceeded with the rest of the stuff normally and I am able to go to 'Places --> Network' and access my Windows shares.
