This bug is easily reproducible on up-to-date maverick. Just pair with a bluetooth mouse. It seems that libdbusmenu is really to blame but I'd need to look at the code to be sure.

The bug has been filed many times upstream, and people are blaming gnome-bluetooth:

Sort it out.

Uhm, hello Ubuntu devs? This is not just a problem with gnome-bluetooth but also with virt-manager. It's most annoying to have to keep restarting virt-manager every time you start and stop virtual machines!

As Bastien Nocera says, this a problem in Ubuntu only and requires that Ubuntu fix it, not wait for upstream to fix! Please attend to this ASAP!
