Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-sso-client

Package ubuntu-sso-client in Maverick uses the "login" keyring to store the Ubuntu SSO credentials instead of the "default" keyring that all other applications use. This requires a second authentication to unlock the keyrings if passwordless login is enabled.

"login" is the name of the default gnome keyring when logging in with a password.
I will try doing a complete install from scratch of a passwordless account in a VM, to try to reproduce this bug.
Is your setup a clean Maverick install or is it a Lucid (or some other previous release) upgraded into Maverick?

This is a clean install of Maverick from beta. I can reproduce this if I delete the "login" keyring and authenticate in ubuntu-sso-client again. A "default" keyring exists and is used by NetworkManager, empathy, evolution, desktop-couchdb, vinagre, ...

I can confirm that for passwordless login the default gnome keyring is named "Default".
ubuntu-sso-client should use that keyring in the passwordless case.

To test this: create a user with autologin enabled, and register or log into an Ubuntu SSO account.
In this case, the "default" keyring will be used, either by adding the credentials into that keyring if already exists, or asking for a password in order to create it.

Also register or log into an Ubuntu SSO account with a user with no autologin.
In this other case the "login" would have been already created and that will be used.
