Bug Description

Binary package hint: tomcat6

The init.d script contains the following:

start-stop-daemon --start -u "$TOMCAT6_USER" -g "$TOMCAT6_GROUP" \
                -c "$TOMCAT6_USER" -d "$CATALINA_TMPDIR" \
                -x /bin/bash -- -c "$AUTHBIND_COMMAND $TOMCAT_SH"

Which prevents tomcat6 from starting as a user which is already logged in using a bash shell.

Changing the -x /bin/bash to point to a unique symbolic link to /bin/bash fixes the startup script.
