Totem can play a video that totem-mozilla plugin cannot

The video never starts with the plugin (and no error is shown) but it plays (after a little while) if you right click on the video and choose "open with Video player"

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot.
