Bug Description

My usplash doesn't show anything on my HP/Compaq NX9030 laptop. I installed a new edgy a couple of days ago and I haven't seen a bootsplash since. Just before I ran an edgy that was upgraded from a working dapper install and here, the edgy bootsplash was shown (different image than in dapper).

alt+f1 says "usplash: No usable theme found for 640x480" and "screen init failed". No usplash output in logs.
