Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
Since I updated empathy yesterday on Maverick (I don't know if I missed any updates in-between, the one before was a few days old) the IRC contact list has disappeared. In the "Conversation" menu it is enabled. In fact, when I updated yesterday, it disappeared when I reconnected to a channel, whereas it stayed visible for a channel to which I didn't loose connection. Today it is missing for all channels.

Interestingly enough, the empathy window now also automatically expands when I type in a long line of text, so that it always stays on a single line, and I can't shrink it again until I have pressed "enter".
