Bug Description
This problem occurs while installing Ubuntu 6.10 beta (from 28 Sep 2006) using the alternate install CD for i368. Creating an XFS partition fails with the following error:
Failed to create a file system
The xfs file system creation in partition #7 of IDE1 master (hda) failed.
(the partition number and disk are for my system, of course).
The log on virtual console 4 also shows this error:
partmanL mkfs.xfs: error while loading shared libraries: librt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
Executing mkfs.xfs from command line in installer environment produces the same error. Seems to be a simple case of a missing shared library.
Regards,
Tomislav
