Dear Reporter,

you installed the debian package of zend-framework, this is not the recommended ubuntu package.
Please remove the package from your system and install zend-framework package of ubuntu from the official ubuntu archives.

Thanks for your help.I am very new to the Ubuntu system and find it somewhat difficult to navigate the system.
