Liferea doesn't initially respect Gnome toolbar button label preference

Bug Description

At first run, Liferea displays its toolbar icons without labels, although Ubuntu's default settings are to show labels. When the setting is changed to 'icons only' and then back to 'text below icons' again, however, Liferea properly obeys this setting.

Liferea should respect the Gnome setting the first time it runs.

I confirm this on Edgy.
This setting needs to be changed under System -> Preferences -> Menus and toolbars once.

Changed in liferea:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: Unconfirmed → Confirmed

VF: can you see the status of the upstream bug report? I can't to do myself because you set up it as private.

Thanks

The status is the same as it was when it was submitted, nothing seems to have changed.

And I don't believe I did set it as private, I'm not logged in at sourceforge and I can see the status fine
