[i845] Video crash

System ubuntu 10.04
Package unknown
I exspected the system to not crash but it does.

I don't know the exact problem but it looks to be related to x.org I think. Here is a link to the syslog of the crashing machine and the x.org log: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/489758/ and another syslog: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/489914/ it could be a cd drive a mouse lots of stuff happens before the crash. The visible symptoms are: the screen going to the ubuntu startup screen flashing slowly inbetwean a black screen with coloured bars. then a manual reboot. The system (I think) uses a i915 intergrated graphics processer in a Compaq system. I can provide more info if nessesary.

apport-collect 633697
As that will collect the necessary log files, also please run
lspci | grep VGA
and post it right here so we will know what we are dealing with

the seccond comand said this:

I am helping a friend do this on her computer and she is haveing problems on the first command so it might be a little while before the first command gets here.

I forgot to add; this problem isn't in 9.10 but started on this computer in 10.04 so there might be a broken package somewhere between 9.10 and 10.04.
