I tried to reproduce this issue here under Ubuntu Maverick and works fine for me. Please can you reset your gconf settings of gwibber and then try again? Thanks.

I've found out that autostart variable in Gwibber is set after any changes to account have been made (e.g. created, edited, deleted).
Please, check this case and report here - this should be easy to fix.

I dont think its still an issue in 2.32.2 or 2.91.xx since I have set gwibber service to not start on startup myself and its working as it should, closing as fixed
