Bug Description

Binary package hint: icedtea6-plugin

When running Chromium browser, version 6 with OpenJDK6 and IcedTea6 Java plugin, Chromium will fail to load the plugin, since the plugin depends on xulrunner package, and this is not installed.

I had to create xulrunner.conf in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/ containing "/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2.9" to make this work.

@doko: i dropped xul from the LD_LIBRARY_PATH (see bug 529242) since you told me icedtea6-plugin is no longer linked with xul.
..and also because it caused troubles with xul 1.9.1 shipping its own libnss/libnspr inside this directory.

@Daniel: it's supposed to be fixed. Do you mean you're still having that crash with the updated chromium-browser and icedtea6-plugin?

if so, please paste the result of the following command here:
apt-cache policy chromium-browser icedtea6-plugin

Changed in chromium-browser (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete
