Bug Description

My ubuntu crashes if I update all the packages in the repositories. I must stay with the downloaded version from ubuntu.com with no update. If I do update it, in several hours (undetermined and not always the same ones) it will crash and put the volume extremely up with a VERY unpleasant and continouous whistle. I have checked it reinstalling it 3 times. No update no crash. Updating crashes it.

Any idea of which is the problem?

I have change the "Status" to Invalid as the problem was not Ubuntu's but my sound card itself.

Thank you
