Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
Double clicking the right ”border” of the field head doesn't make the column width adjusted to the actual file- and folder name lengths. I couldn't find another way to do it either, except to manually click and drag to the desired width. If I double click, it will automatically adjust to a too narrow width, so I can't see the complete file names. This is annoying when several files has almost the same name, like MyInterestingFi
Sorry for bad English.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Nautilus
2. Navigate to a folder that contains files with long names
3. Switch the view to List View
4. Double-click on the separator between the first and second column (by default Name and Size)
Expected behaviour:
The width of the Name column adjusts to accommodate the longest file name in the list.
Actual behaviour:
Nothing happens.
Ubuntu 10.04
Nautilus 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1.1
Confirmed in Lucid and Maverick.
