Bug Description
Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Hi - my spdif output is only in mono to my DTS receiver.
The odd thing is when I go to Preferences>Sound, choose the Hardware tab and change the "settings for the selected device" - if I arrow down to "Digital Duplex Stereo" it plays from the Left Front speaker. If I arrow up to "Digital Stereo (IEC958) Output + Analog Stereo Input" it place from the Front Right.
Go figure!
Pulse Audio Volume Meter shows both channels being played - so I figure its the XFi Driver...
It worked fine in Lucid
This is very annoying as my PC was my source of music...

I'm Experiencing exacly the same issue with Ubuntu Lucid and Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium (PCI-e version). Digital out works without problems on win 7. In ubuntu i have only few digital options to choose from in sound preferences, they behave exacly the same as described above. Also the resulting sound is very quiet, barely noticable.
What is more, similar issues are happening on analog output - sound is heard only from one speaker.
