iTALC doesn't auto-detect clients after controller started

Bug Description
I'm using Edubuntu Linux iTALC.
I have a several student workstations and a teacher workstation. I start iTALC master controller on the teacher workstation. I log in several student workstations. The iTALC master controller doesn't show these student workstations. When I restart the master controller the student stations already logged in show up.
I believe this is because the Avahi auto-detection logic is in the startup script, not the controller itself.
Any chance we will see real-time detection of new stations?
