Bug Description
Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Hello,
I am using Ubuntu Maverick beta. Sounds works fine, but when I plug headphones, some problems appear. I open some audio file . Sound works fine, but when I plug headphones, tray icon shows, that sound is muted and also headphones and speakers are muted. When I click on Unmute, sound is streaming through headphones and speakers synchronous.
Thanks, Majo

Yeah, I can confirm that. The VIA drivers send out a control event from the driver, which mutes the "Front Playback Switch". This in turn confuses PulseAudio, who thinks you muted everything and so it tries to be helpful by muting everything else for you as well.
