Missing possibility to use mysql authentication in squid.
Why is squid not compiled with --enable-basic-auth-helpers=DB

This could be fixed by adding --enable-basic-auth-helpers=DB to the debian/rules configure command.

This was fixed by the "squid" binary package built from squid3 sources in Ubuntu Xenial and later.
