Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Kubuntu DVD i386 (20100901)
Steps to recreate:
1.Double click on the Install icon
2.Once Ubiquity starts click on Forward
3.Select your language from the list and click Forward
4.Select your timezone and click Forward
5.Check your keyboard layout is correct or alter click Forward
6.Select Erase and use the entire disk and click Forward
7. Input your initial user details and password
If you enter in a user name and password, but the system name is left blank, the installer crashes.
Workaround: Enter in user name, password and a system name.
Just a warning or a request to enter a valid system name would be more appropriate behavior.
