Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

I had been in correspondence with an individual from an official military advice forum about not wanting my son to join the Royal Marines after my son had been arranging to go to Dartmoor on a march with him. I deleted files and copied some of the mails to another folder. The files will not delete and I get an error message that says "Error while expunging message". I reopened the program later and found that the icons are shaded out all except the create message icon, I cannot send or receive mail now. I intend to delete and reinstall the program now but wanted you to know I'd had this problem. It may have been compromised, (I had just been critical of present day dirty warfare) or it may be a synchronous event.
I am on Ubuntu 9.04 jaunty Kernel Linux 2.6.28-19-generic GNOME 2.26.1

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's "Help -> Report a Problem" menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

Hiya, Thank you for your reply. Another person has also replied to me. I
deleted the whole programme and all the residual files and then
reinstalled it to solve the problem. I am sorry my information was
incomplete but I was feeling a bit freaky because of the circumstances
just prior to the programme freezing. I had never had any problems with
it before and been using for about 2 years. I think was co-incidence.
Probably just a glitch. The reinstalled one is fine
Anyway thank you
kathy
