Binary package hint: emacs-snapshot

emacs-snapshot is almost a year old. There seems to be a version from June at http://emacs.orebokech.com/ which should hopefully be a lot closer to the current Emacs development head (although of course it is also several months old already).

The sid version from my site probably builds and works without
modification on Ubuntu.

Please note bug #789075 and bug #789271 as support for either doing something about this package, or else to drop it from Ubuntu.

Given that there is a sporadically-maintained third-party PPA which tracks upstream Emacs better than this package, it might actually be a disservice to Emacs users to pretend to support this old package if it's not actively kept up to date.

For the record, the PPA is now at http://emacs.naquadah.org/
