Unable to join Chat rooms in AIM

Using Mavericks build on Lucid but it shouldn't make a difference

While chatting when i go to join a chat room i never get an invite or anything else.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Have someone invite you to a chat room/ go to buddy list -> File -> Join Chat
2. Never see an invite

What happens:
Never get an invite or unable to join room at all weather invite or you join using buddy list

What i expect to happen:
Should get an invite and be able to join a chat room
