Bug Description

I don't believe I was really even actively accessing the disk at the time this occurred (but not 100% sure). I only noticed when I tried to access my files, and found that the volume mysteriously unmounted. This is all on Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit, and I'm using a WD10000H1Q-00.

Interesting section from dmesg:

Unplugging the device and plugging it back in didn't made this appear in syslog:

Pulling the power and plugging it back in brought things back to normal - I can now access my files:

Hi Yang,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
