Bug Description
Kubuntu Maverick 10.10 Alpha 3
Starting Kopete gives a Jabber Protocol warning: "Cannot start process googletalk-call. Check your installation of Kopete."
Typing googletalk-call on the command line returns: "The program 'googletalk-call' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install kopete"
kopete is installed, as is kopete-gcall.
dpkg -L kopete-gcall returns:
/usr
/usr/share
/usr/share/doc
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
It appears like that package is missing a library or executable.

the old package (found @ https:/ /launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ kdenetwork/ 4:4.5.0b- 0ubuntu2 ) contains:
doc/kopete- gcall doc/kopete- gcall/README doc/kopete- gcall/copyright doc/kopete- gcall/changelog .Debian. gz googletalk- call
# dpkg -L kopete-gcall
/.
/usr
/usr/share
/usr/share/doc
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/bin
/usr/bin/
It is clear that the new package does not contain /usr/bin/ googletalk- call
