Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

The static application switcher brings to front everything when I switch windows no matter what option I choose in the "highlight mode"

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 I had this problem since I installed Lucid Lynx not in Karmic Koala. And Im using the repos version of compiz 1:0.8.4-0ubuntu15.2.
Mesa DRI Intel(R) 965GM GEM 20091221 2009Q4 x86/MMX/SSE2

There is an Ubuntu Froums thread of a user with the same problem as me:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9770419#post9770419

Thanks (I tried to submit this the right way!)

Same problem here in Maverick (10.10).

There are 3 possible settings for "Highlight mode" for Static Application Switcher in CompizConfig manager:
- None
- Bring Selected To Front
- Show Rectangle

The problem is that when we chose "None" we expect it to do nothing, but actually it is behaving in the same way as "Bring Selected to Front".

Cheers,

Gaston

I reproduce it in Mint 10 Julia
~ $ compiz --version
compiz 0.8.6
I select highlight mode: None
but it still brings selected windows to front
annoying
