Bug Description

Themes Ambiance, Radiance: the panel size seems to be hardcoded to 24 pixels. When set to 36 pixels. There is an horizontal line breaking the panel at 24 pixels.

If you fix this bug. please make a generic fix which will work for any size. Please don't hard code for just 24 or 36. Because someone else will probably use another panel size.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. However, a papercut is meant to be a small bug that a single personal can fix in a short amount of time.

This bug relates to the way gnome-panel draws the panel bg, and is not a trivial task.

I am marking this bug invalid in papercuts, however this bug has already been confirmed in the light themes here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/light-themes/+bug/532309

Changed in hundredpapercuts:
status: New → Invalid

Thanks for the link to the original bug report. In this link, please read post "Thorsten Reinbold wrote on 2010-03-05:"
In one single line change in gtk.rc this user was able to fix the issue. How come it is so complicate for papercut? This bug doesn't appear in the Dust Sand or Human themes. In Ambiance and Radiance, just make these themes draw the taskbar the same way than Human theme and that's it.

OP, please note that what Thorsten did was a work-around and not a fix for the theme. His work around involves disabling the panel background and manually setting a background image. I don't think this is what most people would consider a fix.

This bug appears in any and all themes that attempt to set a panel background image. The old themes did not set a background image, that is why they are unaffected.
