At top of yelp, the File/Edit/Go toolbar is not English but gibberish

Bug Description
Binary package hint: yelp
When I look at the toolbar on top of yelp, for pretty much any yelp page, instead of getting a File/Edit/
$ lsb_release -dr
Description: Ubuntu maverick (development branch)
Release: 10.10
$ dpkg -l yelp|tail -1
ii yelp 2.30.1-0ubuntu1 Help browser for GNOME

Yelp seems to be using the "Shavian" version of English (en@shaw) as opposed to more common forms of English. I switched my desktop to use Spanish and everything cleared up, back to English and I get this "Shavian English" unicode.
