The word kubuntu is split in Edgy Knot 3 usplash

Binary package hint: kubuntu-artwork-usplash

When I start up Kubuntu Edgy Knot 3, I see a nice usplash and the progress bar is working correctly, but the first half of the word kubuntu is on the right side of the screen and the second half of the word is on the left.

I searched for dups but didn't find any. I hope I filed this against the right package.

I think the artwork isn't done yet and they are using a temporary stand in.

The interesting thing is that I backported the usplash_0.4-29 and kubuntu-artwork-usplash_6.10-49 packages to dapper, and installed those packages, and on dapper the text is perfect!

What's the content of /etc/usplash.conf?

On edgy it is

On dapper (with the backport) it is

xres=1024
yres=768

 status FixReleased

This has been fixed in later releases of usplash. As a workaround,
change /etc/usplash.conf to a higher resolution.
