Bug Description

Upgraded from 9.0.4 -> 9.10 -> 10.4
Thin clients booting fine in 9.0.4.
I have had similar problems mentioned with the ndb server not running and tftp having the incorrect path(#573975).
After resolving those I am still unable to boot my PXE thin clients. The problem is exactly as stated in this mailing list posting...
http://<email address hidden>/msg38555.html
The only difference is that I could not get the ndb-server to work unless I set the user/group to root.

After a few minutes I see a ton of output. This seems to be somewhat relevant...
INFO: task fstype: 285 blocked for more than 120 seconds
"echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message
fstype D 00000000 0 255 1 0x00000000

etc...

The clients are dell optiplex gx60, gx280
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04

ltsp-server:
  Installed: 5.2.1-0ubuntu9

Thanks,

The person in the mailing list is trying to export /opt/ltsp/i386 which is a directory, instead of exporting an nbd image like /opt/ltsp/images/i386.img.
nbd-server is started from inetd by default, so please delete /etc/nbd-server, if you created one, and upload the result of these commands:
grep nbd /etc/inetd.conf
ls -l /opt/ltsp/images
cat /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/*/pxelinux.cfg/default
